One Show Only: Dark Kabaret is not a children's
show and quite often it gets out of hand. The show will be ribald, sexy, and dark it will also be beautiful, elegant, and intelligent. You are welcome to bring your kids but be advised, this show is definitely rated PG.
Eric McFadden takes the stage at 9pm for a musical set.
At 10PM the Kabaret begins with a line up of artists that my be our best yet. This year's roster includes a number of artists you have not seen before.
Special Guest Athena Tergis
As you can see from this image Athena is not only beautiful but stylish as well. Athena starred in the Las Vegas production of Lord of the Dance and the Broadway production of Riverdance.
Athena is a three time world champion Celtic fiddler.
Find out more about Athena at: http://www.athena.cd/
You can "friend" her at: http://www.myspace.com/athenatergis
Your Host, Paul Nathan
Paul is a magician who travels all over the world. Star of Devil in the Deck, Twisted Cabaret, Dark Kabaret, and Hour of Magic. You've seen Paul on HBO, MTV, and even Star Trek Voyager. The SF Chronicle said "Nathan seduces his audience". CBS Evening Magazine called Paul "The most dangerous magician in the world". Sit in the front row and you will see why.
Music by Eric McFadden
Eric's Music is visceral, exciting, and beautiful.
The Dark Kabaret is a collaboration between Eric McFadden and Paul Nathan. Eric's music was the inspiration for the first Kabaret five years ago.
The Artists:
This year’s show features an unprecedented cast including:
Michelle L'amour -
Michelle is my favorite Burlesque performer in the world. She is stunning, sexy, and elegent. Her movements are lithe, her figure sublime, her artistry exciting. Michelle was a finalist on America's got Talent and winner of Miss Exotic World (the world series of Burlesque). She has performed all over the world, from Zurich, to Paris, to London, and back.
World Record Holder Leslie Tipton - Contortion
Sexy, stylish, talented... You'll see.
Leslie holds three world records for contortion. She has appeared on Oprah twice, and performs all over the world. You may even have seen her in the film, Minority Report.
Leslies is the epitome of smart, sexy, and talented. Leslie was one of the star performers on RCCL's Flagship, The Monarch of the Seas. You are going to fall in love.
Comedy Industries I've been trying to get Scott & Katrine to perform at my the Dark Kabaret for the past 5 years but they've never been available until this year when all their clients went out of business in the great stock market crash of 2 hours ago.
They're two of my favorite performers and one of my favorite people. I'm sure you're going to love the
bad judgment of Comedy Industries as much as I do.
Frank Olivier (The Tonight show, Twisted
Cabaret). Frank is the most gifted performer it has ever been my pleasure
to work with. He is imaginative, funny, and seriously off kilter.
The New York Times called Frank a "Show Stopper" and
Rolling Stone Magazine said "He has the grace of a stoned
rhinoceros". Come see why Frank was nominated for a Helen
Hayes award for his work with Mickey Rooney in Sugar Babies.
Sterling Johnson (Evening Magazine, Smithsonian magazine). Sterling is one of the most elegant, graceful,
and endearing performers I have ever had the pleasure of sharing
the stage with.
Bob Hartman Bob has been a favorite of mine since I first saw him 20 years ago. He makes me feel like a kid. I hope to have video of him up in a couple of days in the mean time just trust me, Bob's show alone is worth the ticket price.
Dark Kabaret is the only revue in the city to offer something for
everyone, as it features a line of drop-dead gorgeous burlesque
dancers, world-class variety and circus artists and music that will
move you.
We will be adding a few surprises over the next couple of weeks.
The Crowd:
Dress to impress and come to people watch. The crowd
of the Dark Kabaret is almost as fun to watch as the show. Be
part of the spectacle. Looking
for something special to wear check out Dark Garden Unique Corsets. The perfect combination of sexy and elegant. Tell them you are going to Dark Kabaret and get 10% off.
About the Producer:
Paul Nathan produces and hosts shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, and Europe. Paul produces theatrical events and spectacles all over the world. "It is exciting to have a show here in my home town of San Francisco."
"There are a couple of choices of revues in San Francisco, but none have the production value and appeal of Dark Kabaret. In ninety minutes, you get everything that is San Francisco: beautiful people, glamorous costumes, visceral performances, dark sexy music and more passion than you can possibly imagine."
